Trying to make a living and doing the best I can - the Allman Brothers Band, 1973
I have been involved with Harrison School District Two since my son, Steven, entered Kindergarten at Turman Elementary in 2002. I have a tendency to volunteer for things. What started out as involvement in Turman's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has evolved over time into me serving on the School Board.

In addition to my direct involvment with the District over the years I also bring a particular perspective to the Board that, I feel, serves the community well.
- I have two children who attend school in the District, giving me a daily perspective on life as a student.
- In my day job, I am a partner in a small business and I oversee the creation, development and maintenance of databases. This gives me a unique perspective on the Board when dealing with data.
- My brother and I were raised by a single mother and participated in the National School Lunch Program, like many of the students in our District.
